I am trying

Really, a concerted effort,

I've tried many things

Both madness and method.

But how, oh how

Am I to succeed

In reading all the books

I want to read?

I might have forty years left

Or get hit by that proverbial bus tomorrow

Either way I'll miss so much

To my bookish heart's sorrow.
